The Organisation
The promoter of the NECRET Golf Fundraiser Lottery (the “Draw”) is the North East Cancer Research and Education Trust (NECRET) (the “Organisation”).
NECRET supports the Oncology and Haematology Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. The Organisation’s committee will oversee the Draw to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Licence Info
The North East Cancer Research & Education Trust (NECRET) has submitted a Lottery Licence Application under Section 28 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1956 (as substituted by Section 12 of the Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2019).
The application has been lodged with the Trim District Court and is scheduled for hearing on 11th December 2025.
NECRET will ensure full compliance with all licensing requirements and applicable Irish law.
Purpose
The purpose of the Draw is to raise funds to support cancer research. No member of the NECRET committee will derive any personal profit from the Draw. All proceeds will be allocated to the charitable objectives of NECRET.
Eligibility
The Draw is open to residents of Ireland and overseas who are natural persons aged 18 years or older. Any ticket purchased by an individual under 18 will be declared null and void and excluded from the Draw. NECRET may request proof of age or identity for compliance purposes.
Prizes
The prizes consist of eight luxury golf packages at Ireland’s leading resorts, including: Trump Doonbeg, Powerscourt, Carton House, The K Club, Mount Juliet, Slieve Russell, Druids Glen, and County Louth (Baltray) with Scholars Townhouse Hotel. The total combined prize value at the time of publishing is approximately €14,950.00.
Insurance or additional costs associated with prize use (such as travel or meals outside the package) are the responsibility of the prize winner.
There is no cash alternative to any of the prizes.
On-the-night cash raffle prizes: 1st €500, 2nd €300, 3rd €200.
Ticket Details
Tickets cost:
- €20 for 1 ticket
- €50 for 3 tickets
- €100 for 7 tickets
Tickets are non-refundable, except in the event that the Draw is cancelled. There is no maximum number of tickets available for sale.
Tickets may be purchased:
- Online via the official NECRET Golf Fundraiser website (processed securely via Stripe), or
- In person from NECRET volunteers and authorised sellers.
Conduct of the Draw
The Draw will take place at 8:00pm on Friday, 19 December 2025 at The Snailbox, Kilmoon, Ashbourne, Co. Meath. NECRET reserves the right to extend the Draw date or change the Draw venue, with advance notice to ticket holders via the official website and social media channels. The Draw will be independently observed by two nominated adjudicators to ensure fairness and transparency. NECRET accepts no responsibility for lost, incomplete, or illegible entries.
Prize Winners
Winners will be contacted by phone, email, or letter within seven days of the Draw. Winners will have up to three months from the Draw date to claim their prize. If a prize remains unclaimed after that period, NECRET reserves the right to select an alternative winner. NECRET reserves the right to verify the identity and eligibility of all winners before prizes are awarded.
Prizes are subjects to Golf Clubs terms and conditions.
Liability and Indemnity
NECRET accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage caused by participation in the Draw or use of any prize. Decisions made by the Organisation regarding the Draw are final and binding.
Amendment or Cancellation
NECRET reserves the right to amend these Terms and/or cancel the Draw at any time. Any such changes will be published on the official website and social media channels. If the Draw is cancelled, 100% of the ticket cost will be refunded to all purchasers.
Data Protection
Personal data collected for the Draw will be used solely for its administration and, where applicable, for prize fulfilment and necessary publicity.
By purchasing a ticket, participants consent to their data being used for these purposes.
All personal information will be managed in accordance with Irish data protection law (GDPR).
Severability
If any provision in these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full
force and effect.
Agreement
By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms are governed by Irish law, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
